bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh announced today that it has sold its shareholding in X‑FAB Silicon Foundries N.V., Erfurt, through Thüringer Industriebeteiligungs-GmbH & Co. KG (TIB). A considerable part of this shareholding has been acquired by Micronas Semiconductor Holding AG, Zurich/Swiss. The total proceeds of the transaction amount to approx. €16m.

TIB is a shareholder of X‑FAB already since 2002 and successfully concludes its engagement in the company with the sale of its shares to a strategic investor.
X‑FAB Silicon Foundries N.V. is a leading foundry for analog/mixed-signal applications. It operates four manufacturing sites in Germany (Erfurt and Dresden), Malaysia and the USA and has approx. 2,400 employees worldwide.

bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh, Erfurt, is a subsidiary of Thüringer Aufbaubank. bm|t serves as a management company for six investment funds with a total capital of approx. €230m. At present bm|t’s portfolio consists of approx. 40 companies based in Thuringa.
