- Live shopping-portal Preisbock gains further investors
- New capital to promote the acquisition of new customers
The popular live shopping-portal www.Preisbock.de has completed its third round of financing. Amongst others, beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh (bm|t), the business angel Oliver Flaskämper (founder of the consumer page geizkragen.de (miser)) and Sparkasse Jena have invested in the youthful portal. In total the financial injection amounts to 1 million euros.
“At Preisbock.de we have discovered a highly-motivated founder team with a solid corporate concept. Preisbock has already demonstrated in the past that live-shopping represents a sustainable business model and is finding a growing band of devotees”, states Dr. Guido Bohnenkamp, managing director of bm|t.
“We want to use the new capital primarily to gain new customers but also to further integrate social-commerce elements in order to provide users with a particularly interactive and lively shopping experience. By way of example, a weekly video live-cast begins in February in which a selected product-of–the-day will be introduced. In addition to this, a new version of Preisbock.de starts in March with expanded live features”, explains Preisbock managing director Christian Grötsch.
In March last year Preisbock.de already gained the business angels Lukasz Gadowski and Oliver Jung as investors.
Preisbock.de is a “Live Shop” on the internet that each day offers a greatly reduced product for spontaneous sale as “deal of the day”. The offer is valid for up to a week as long as stocks last. The business model is based on coöperation with established retailers and manufacturers. Preisbock.de was founded in July 2007 by dotSource GmbH. Since the beginning of 2008 the portal has been part of Preisbock GmbH, comprising marketing and sales experts who can call on many years of experience in E‑commerce.
