ALEA receives additional investment shareholding capital for development of sector-specific software
The software producer ALEA has received a further 2m euros from bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh. The increased financing will accelerate the development of the Amc2 software as the new and principal solution for the mail-order sector.
A year ago, High-Tech Gründerfonds took a shareholding in ALEA as the first Thuringia Company and, in a successive phase, an investment from bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh. ALEA achieved all of the milestones required by the investors.
As a result of this successive phase, the investment of bm|t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh has increased to 4m euros. Part of this comes from PET funds (Private Equity Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG) as well as VCT (Venture Capital Thüringen GmbH & Co. KG). The funds provide long-term growth capital for medium-sized businesses in the Free State of Thuringia and are a source of additional investment after the start-up phase.
ALEA presented the new functions of the Amc2 sector-specific software for the first time at a gathering of mail-order customers at the end of January and, at the same time, also received the go ahead for the third of a total of four project phases.
ALEA is developing the new sector-specific software “Amc2” in coöperation with companies in the mail-order business. It will meet the new demands of the multi-channel mail-order sector and replace the existing, and in some cases, severely outdated software packages and tailor-made solutions, which originate from a time when today’s business models such as multi-channel selling did not even exist. Customers have been consulted from the start of the development process, ensuring that their latest market requirements will be met.
