More than EUR 45 million from the investor network of bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen gmbh (bm|t) was invested in its innovative portfolio companies in 2016. With around EUR 43 million, the largest share was provided by private investors – primarily Angel Investors, Venture Capital Companies and strategic Investors.
The private capital invested is spread over 17 Thuringian companies, of which around half are in the start-up phase.
In addition, bm|t invested around EUR 17 million in these companies through its managed funds, resulting in total investments of almost EUR 62 million in innovative Thuringian companies.
This impressive number of acquired private investments is not only the highest result since the founding of bm|t in 2003, but also a market proof of the attractiveness and potential of the currently over 40 portfolio companies of bm|t.
The largest single transaction in 2016 was the financing round of InflaRx GmbH, a biopharmaceutical company based in Jena.
